PLETTENBERG BAY JEWISH CEMETERY Sunday morning 1 Nissan 5768, ( 6th April 2008 ) is a day that will go down in the annals of history as a day to behold, as it was this day that with the help of Rabbi Moshe Silberhaft and a gathering of 40 plus that the Plettenberg Bay Jewish Cemetery was concecrated. Just 20 kilometers out of Plett on the Port Elizabeth road we have been alocated 1500 sqm's for the sole purpose of a Jewish Cemetery. Please click on gallery above , then Jewish Cemetery to view the pictures of this historic occassion PURIM With close to 170 people we celebrated purim in true style- from the elegant and sincere manner in which Michael Kushner read the Megila and davened to the magnificent turnout of visitors from all over the garden route it was an evening to remember. YOM HA'ATZMAUT What a wonderful evening was had by all of 80 plus guests who came to celebrate the state of Israels 60th, With the hels of Joan Estrin , Des cohen and their respective helpers the food was excellent. Micky Shaked kept everyones feet tapping whil roleen Varkel took care of the kids by making Israeli flags. Marcia Katz took on the job of dance instructor and taught us all some folk dancing - all in all it was an excellent evening and fun was had by all.
